@Legu I think there should be a little warning when choosing our ID and name, telling the choice is definitive. At some point I presume, there will be a thread where members can request a change in ID and name. ;) - Typo at "twitter", one T is missing. Also, I'm not sure I understand correctly the explanation: "Will show your time line on your profile." Does it mean my tweets will be shown on my MR profile page? Thanks for pointing out the typo. ;) And yes, your tweets will be shown on your MR profile page in the bottom right hand corner as seen on zindryr's profile. @GEshode I am also not so sure, what the ID is for... From what I understand, the site ID is is basically your site ID or username. When you go to PM someone, this will be what is used. Where as your community name is basically just a nickname / what the public will see next to your avatar. |

Thanks for your explanations! Is it really useful to separate the site ID and common community name? Or is it for security reasons for later, when we'll be able to pay? EDIT - I added my twitter ID but my tweets don't show :( I get those of MR instead. |

@Legu Thanks for your explanations! Is it really useful to separate the site ID and common community name? Or is it for security reasons for later, when we'll be able to pay? Well, I noticed that Site ID has more restrictions than the nickname seen by the community. For example, the site ID didn´t let me use capital letters, while the nickname actually lets you do it. |

@Legu The reason for the community name and the Site ID is, it allows users to be a bit more creative with their name(spaces, normally forbidden characters etc and allows Japanese people to have their names displayed in Japanese) thus the reason for two separate ones... As for twitter, it looks like you have it fixed :). Sorry, I should mention that you need the @ mark with it to make it a bit more clear. |
